Telehandler Operator

Kilcawley Construction are currently looking for Experienced Telehandler Machine Operator for immediate start for a Healthcare Project in West of Ireland. Full-time position with competitive remuneration package and benefits- dependent on experience) to join and contribute towards a new and exciting project in Galway.

Telehandler Operator

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • 5+ years’ experience, although strong candidates with lesser experience will be considered.
  • Licence/Certification:
  • CSCS Plant Training / Safe pass Card / Manual Handling Certificate – (Required)
  • 360 Excavator Ticket would be ideal.
  • CSCS Slinger/ Signaller (Desirable)
  • Further CSCS Tickets Desirable but not Essential
  • Good knowledge of demolition/construction is highly advantageous
  • Must be open to travel as required- (Desirable)
  • Good Work Ethic required
  • Must be organised ensuring Good Housekeeping on site
  • Must be a good communicator
  • Self-starter with good judgment when working under pressure and as a Team

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely and effectively with good knowledge of H&S requirements
  • Ensuring the company’s Health & Safety and environmental policies are strictly adhered to.
  • Drive telehandler and labour work required when telehandler is not in use.
  • Transport materials to designated areas and assist with loading and unloading as needed.
  • Keep the external materials organised and driveways clear and general external areas cleaned.
  • Always adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies-
  • 5 points off PPE to be always worn when working outside the cab of telehandler.
  • Inspect telehandler and fill out GA3 book weekly in KC office.
  • Daily inspections and routine maintenance for safe teleporter operations.
  • Report any damage or faults of telehandler for repair to site manager.
  • Operating mobile and fixed plant safely.
