As part of Construction Safety Weeks ‘working at height’ day, Kilcawley Construction invited Ashfield Safety (work at height and confined space specialists) to our Athlone Garda District Headquarters Project to carry out a demonstration on passive and active fall arrest systems and the importance of the correct use of harnesses. They used their 75KG life sized dummy to demonstrate a number of falls from height using different types of lanyards and highlighted the importance of proper consideration of rescue procedures when planning works at a height’.Justin Molloy from the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) attended the event in an effort to support Kilcawley Construction in our endeavor to increase awareness around the hazard of working at height.
