Recent investigation works have uncovered original mosaic flooring beside the main alter of the Cathedral – the mosaic will now be incorporated into the new renovation plans. Scaffolding has been erected to the external perimeter of the Cathedral – re-pointing of the original stone work will lime mortar is now underway, and roof works will commence in late November 2017.
